Work Experience: FLG Lacrosse 

• Journalism and Social Media Intern (2020)

  • Journalism and social media marketing intern for FLG Lacrosse - A Long Island Lacrosse Program responsible for creating Love the Game Media and Long Island Lacrosse Journal. 

  • Worked to conduct interviews and write an average of three feature stories weekly. Projects included (but not limited to):

    • Used sites such as Canva and Hootsuite to create graphics and promote social feed posts on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook. Began FLG’s weekly newsletter using InfusionSoft, a CRM software website. Wrote feature stories on FLG alumni, coaching staff and committed players. Attended tournaments to take live game footage and interview players of the game.

• Sports Beat Reporter (2020)

  • Lacrosse reporter for Stony Brook University. Worked as a beat reporter to cover college and professional lacrosse. 

• Robert W. Greene Institute Peer Mentor (2016 - Present)

  • Peer mentor for high school journalists attending the Robert W. Greene Summer Institute: a week long, hands-on program held on Stony Brook University Campus for high schoolers to learn skills for becoming future journalists. As  a former member of the SBU School of Journalism’s Greene Team, I return each summer to help mentor new members in skills like video production, reporting, photography, script writing, etc. 

Leadership & Professional Development

• Stony Brook University: Society of Professional Journalists - Treasurer

  • Oversaw the budgeting and allocation of funds for SBU-SPJ. Acted as a business manager and  kept  records of costs and expenses for SBU-SPJ-sponsored events, as well as managed any receipts and other documentation. 

• Newfield High School: President of the Video Club, Vice President of Varsity Leaders Club, Writer/Editor of Newspaper Club, Member of Student Government, Member of National Honor Society, Member of the Spanish National Honor Society
